This is wonderful you have someone like that.
I had such a connection with a friend in college. We saw
each other on campus practically every day but with crazy class
schedules it was easier to "meet up" via email. And, boy,
were those loooong. Single spaced, typed letters... it wasn't
unusual for us to write 4-8 pages at a time.
After graduation she moved to the middle east to get married
and we lost touch.
