This week has been somewhat uneventful, but it has been a good one, nonetheless. That's why when my journal entries become boring, I just use the pages to write short stories and poems. Stories and poems also add a little variety for rereading entries. I find that new places are the best inspiration for a journal poem.
What I'm Thankful for This Week:
1. My mom had a safe trip to the Philippines on Tuesday and Wednesday.
2. the chocolate-covered dried strawberries my sister's fiance gave me for Valentine's (see? being single on valentine's day ain't so bad!)
3. I got to bake cookies instead of do regular work on Wednesday.
4. My dog was safe on her walks. (some nut in the neighbourhood has been leaving poisoned food on the ground around the area).
5. My oatmeal-for-breakfast diet has been going well since I started this week.
6. I came across two fantastically nice people on Thursday.
7. My sister and her fiance closed a deal on their first home together.
8. On Thursday night, I had the best sleep I have had in a long time.
9. I found a Chinese tea that I am really enjoying. (Hung Phat green tea and jasmine tea blend)
10. I was accepted into this yahoo journal writing group!
