I tried to send this twice already, with photo attached, but it keeps getting rejected. If you'd like to see the photos, they're located on Multiply, here: http://jrier.multiply.com/journal/item/129/Wonderful_Sunday
Today has been an absolutely beautiful day. We decided to go out to breakfast this morning, so we put Tasha in the car and went to the coney island down the street. They had a chili omelet, which I'd been craving. so that was awesome. We drank coffee and talked for a bit. Decided to leave and go to the new Barnes & Noble to look for some magazines, photography, food and wine, stuff like that. While I was perusing the photography section, I saw this magazine that sort of jumped out at me, titled "Life Images". The title and the fact the cover was in black and white really got my attention. I opened the cover, wondering why I'd never seen this magazine before, and as I was reading the editor's letter realized that this is the first issue. The caption above the title read "A Collection of Captured Moments Inspired Journaling". Of course I had to buy it. When we got home, I spent about a good hour looking through it, page by page. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is into journaling, scrap booking even, or photography. The website for the publisher is www.stampington.com .
Since it is a grey, rainy day - uck - I decided to be depressed about winter no more. At least not today. I went through my extensive candle collection, and pulled out all of my fresh linen, ocean, and rain scented candles, and now the entire house smells fresh, like spring. If's totally lifted my spirits. I'm listening to jazz on the computer as I type this, drinking coffee with white chocolate macadamia creamer in it, and all is right with the world. I'm also scouting for new recipes, and starting to plan my easter dinner for the family. They usually invite us over, but I want to beat them to the punch and invite them over here. I just got the March issue of Food & Wine, and online they have several easter menus to choose from. Scott's downstairs planning how to build a wine cellar in our basement with the new book we just picked up. We're going to have a new recipe with fresh ingredients we just picked up yesterday at Bello Vino - Garlic & Cumin grilled pork loin roast. It's turning into a ridiculously wonderful Sunday. Hope everyone else is having a great day, too.
Oh, the photos are of Tasha in the car, acting like the psycho puppy she is when we get her in the car. She squeals and pants and runs around in the back like someone's poking her in the a _ _ with a cattle prod.
