I wonder why they think you write too much? have you asked them. Seems since you don't write instead of say have a converstaion with them it shouldn't matter how much you write.

My writing routine:
I carry a journal with me everywhere I go. That doesn't mean that I
write in it everywhere I go, but I want it with me in case I want to
jot something down. I usually write at least 4 pages a day. My
entries tell about the day, how I feel, my thoughts, world events,
upcoming events, and so on. Whatever comes to mind. I don't write
with other people around unless we are all "doing our own thing".
Anyone want to help me out on this?
