Re: changing handwriting. I've changed my totally twice in my life. Once about 30 years ago when I trained myself to write in an oldfashioned cursive script. I also started using sealing wax and a few other rather weird stuff.
Again about 20 years ago when I started teaching elementary school and trained myself to write with a very clear, rounded print.
Now I can print well around the kids and my personal writing is a sort of hodge podge. go figure....
