Re: [JournalWriting] Re: Looking for a Journaling Mentor/Coach

IMHO, I wonder if the "guts" it takes to write in a journal doesn't have to do with writing itself, but the guts to let go of your inner struggles and see that part of yourself on paper.  To some, I think, putting those things on paper makes them real, or permanent.  Something you have to deal with, where in your head you can keep pushing it aside.  If that's the case, I'd recommend either journaling without rules, just letting all those thoughts pour out on paper and then turning the page and not rereading it, or destroying your pages if you want to be sure they are gone and no one can read them.  Letting all those pent up emotions out is such a good way to release your stress and release any issues you are dealing with.  So pick up the pen and let it all go, or try journaling through words and images, like a visual journal where your feelings are there, but its in a visual code that no one else but you will understand.  HTH
Blessings,

What "guts" does one need to journal write? :)

I mean like it took me years, lots of encouragement, several
moves, two children, two instructors, two psychiatrists,
one psychologist, five medications... before I learned how to
drive LOL!

Aaaah...

Simple. Time, date, day of the week, weather, what the sky
looks like, what you're wearing, what you plan to do today.
Go from there...

These seemingly little details are a kind of "anchor."
Especially when you write stream of consciousness... one
day starts to blur into the next.
