I am thankful...
1. the builders fixed the roof in time before the snow storm.
2. my bff who was happy to check on Anakin daily while we were
away... and her kids who played with and kept Ani company
until we got back today.
3. that, as much as we needed a change of scenery, it is
nice to be back.
4. for a purring, fluffy ball of love that refuses to let
me out of his sight.
5. for inlaws who are really great about the kids. Yes, they
ARE the grandchildren... the only grandchildren they will
ever have unless by some miracle I have another... but Alex
is several hands full and any help with him is very much
appreciated.
6. that my mil was with me because Alex threw a
monster of a fit in the car and if she wasn't there
to keep him buckled in he would have gotten all over
the car kicking, hitting, screaming.
7. that we didn't lose our lives because Alex decided to
have his fit on I-95 with us and the traffic going like
70+mph.
8. the woodpecker, the blue jay, the cardinal, the titmouse
and a sparrow I didn't recognize who all stopped by on the
porch in rapid succession when we finally got back and
I stood in the silence and cold outside for a breather.
9. that I haven't lost hope.
