Sorry, I don't know how to get into this daily exercise, so I'll do
it the hard way.
Suicide is not a solution. There has to be a better way to solve a
problem.
One Sunday morning about six years ago while Barb and I were living
in an Arizona snowbird park the sheriff drove by our trailer. His
lights were not flashing, so I figured some had passed away. My
investigation turned up a man who had hanged himself from the rafters
of our park pavilion.
The sheriff was having coffee in a neighbor'strailer, so I didn't see
him. Instead I saw a man who seemed to be working on something in
the rafters. Then a gust of wind turned him and I saw he wasn't
working on anything at all.
By this time the sheriff had caught up to me and I noticed the man's
hands were tied behind his back. He assured me that was rather
common for folks who didn't want to change their minds.
The victim's pickup was parked nearby and on the seat were pictures
of what must have been his family. I don't know what his problem
was. All I know is that he didn't solve anything.
There's a better way.
