I think the thing that bothered me the most just happened this
evening! DD called and said "talk to me while i walk to the train."
She does this quit often. This time she was leaving a friends house in
"Bed-Sty" and going to the train. She didn't feel comfortable. She got
to the train station and said her goodbyes. A half hour later she
sends me a text that says "no train". I ask if she could walk back to
friends house and sleep on the couch for the night. She said " no
gotta an idea. Don't ask what". and that was the last time I heard
from her till 10:30. (The original call was at 7:30) Never tell a
mother "don't ask" because we all know our kids and what they are
thinking. She did exactly what I knew she would do. She walked 20
blocks through a not real safe section of BedSty till she got to the
next train. Got on the train and then the train sat in place for over
and hour. No one knows what happened out on the trax to hold up the
train. Then called when she got home by which time I was having fits!!
She says to me "Ok you can breath now. I'm home. Sometimes she makes
me so mad that I could WALK all the way to Brooklyn just to shake the
tar out of her!! And no she isn't a child!!
