I bought a bowl of mixed bulbs that are now in bloom. It's on my mom's
kitchen table. My older brother ,53, with his girlfriend and my mother
there when he asked "what are the flowers for?" I said aroma therapy as
an easy short answer. I think he could not see their beauty for the
nourishment of the spirit. We grew up in the same home. His question
still disturbs me. He could not figure it out? Our home was very
stagnant. That tells a lot. But still, What are (the) flowers for? I-
