Could be procrastination, but it could also be wanting to create an easily remembered anniversary, a benchmark against which to check your progress.

Why do I feel I need the "perfect" day to start something?Monday. The first of the month.A holiday. The first of Spring.06/07/08.My birthday. Our anniversary. The same day of the month as our anniversary. It doesn't matter if it is a lifestyle change, a new habit, a daily task, journaling, etc. What magic is brought to bear by beginning on the perfect day? What do I fear will happen if I start on the "wrong" day? Will I be cursed by failure if I pick the wrong day? Will I be blessed if I chose wisely? Is the perfect day a talisman or a rationalization for me to procrastinate?Nora
Today is the tomorrow I was so worried about yesterday.
