Ok, now I get it.
First, get off all caffeine and as much sugar as possible.
Second, take up some kind of meditation/exercise
Third, if you can see a nutritionist who can help figuring out
what herbal/vitamin supplements you can take, find one...
In short, get your OCD under control :).
The thing with doing anything compulsively is that the impulse
doesn't last. You give into it and you eventually become
satiated... and you drop it, finding something else to OCD on.
What you want to be able to do is ride on this initial wave
of wanting to journal write, do it daily.... even something
as formulaic like the time/date/weekday thing... to turn
inspiration into HABIT. And make it as natural to you as
breathing.
