1. What is your occupation?

Mom (which includes maid, cook, doctor, nutritionist, class mother,
chauffer, acute psychiatric home aide and probably a number
of other things I don't remember right now), artist (published!)
and hoping to get some kind of part time job soon (waiting to
hear from a child care center or a full time job as an
elementary school special ed paraprofessional... which won't
really open up till late summer).

2. What color are your socks right now?

Black. To match my dark brown Dansko clogs, dark brown pinstripe
boot-cut slacks and black, v neck ribbed cotton sweater.

3. What are you listening to right now?

Dana (9 yr old daughter) making her own "movie" (a Star Wars/
Indiana Jones crossover) with her little Lego bits/people
about 3 feet away on the dining room table.

Alex (8 yr old son) playing the "Hymn to Red October" (from the
movie "Red October" with Alec Baldwin and Sean Connery)
on the living room's stereo. Very loud. Sounds like a
Russian male choir moved into the house.

4. What was the last thing that you ate?

A clementine orange.

5. Can you drive a stick shift?

No.
I'm thankful I can drive at all. I just got my license
Nov 2005 and it was just in the past two weeks I've finally
got enough courage to tackle the highways. Doesn't sound
like much but you haven't seen I-95... these people are
NUTS! No wonder every time I turn on 1010WINS on am radio
there's something about some accident on it!

6. If you were a crayon, what color would you be?

Red.

7. Last person you spoke to on the phone?

My mom. She calls every other day... if 3 days go by she
panics.

8. How old are you today?

33. 34 this May.

9. Favorite drink?

Mandarin orange seltzer.
When it gets rough though I'm more than happy with a vodka/oj.

10. What is your favorite sport to watch?

Gymnastics. I would say though I haven't seen it in a while.

11. Have you ever dyed your hair?

No. After a few days/weeks the roots showing a different
color is just trashy.

12. Pets?

1 male betta (siamese fighting fish), a white marbled double tail
8 female bettas in a community tank
1 gold algae eater
1 AWESOME I LOVE HIM SO MUCH I CAN'T STAND IT 9 month old
manx/persian cat my daughter named Anakin (Skywalker)

13. Favorite food?

I have to agree with Nona on this... red meat. I looooove
steak.

14. What was the last movie you watched?

"The Way We Live Now"... which I guess is actually a BBC mini
series set in Victorian England. Miranda Otto (aka Eowyn from
LOTR) is in it.

15. Favorite holiday of the year?

Don't think I have one. 4th of July or Halloween come in
fairly close. Basically whichever my kids enjoy.

16. What do you do to vent anger?

Not very healthy... cave into my urban Jersey girl roots
and curse bad enough to make a truck driver blush.

17. What was your favorite toy as a child?

Legos!

18. What is your favorite, fall or spring?

Fall. I hate raking the leaves but I love the smell in the air.

19. Hugs or kisses?

HUgs.

20. Cherries or Blueberries?

Cherries.

21. Do you want your friends to email you back?

Sure.

22. Who is most likely to respond?

Someone from in here?

23. Who is least likely to respond?

I guess that would be whomever I didn't send it to LOL!

24. Living arrangements?

Rental, 3 bed, 2 bath house.

25. When was the last time you cried?

Some point within the last 3 months... not sure when but
most likely because of marriage or having a disabled child.

26. What is on the floor of your closet?

Boxes I STILL haven't unpacked from when we moved here 3 years
ago.

27. Who is the friend you have had the longest that you are sending
this to?

My brother.

28. Favorite smells?

My son's head/hair... somehow he still has a "baby" smell to him.

29. What did you do last night?

Made (organic) hot dogs and baked french fries for me and
the kids. Did some email. Got them in their bath then bed.
Did more email then crashed for the night.

30. What inspires you?

A color. A word. A laugh. A twinkle in the eye. A song. A scent.

31. What are you afraid of?

Losing someone I hold dear.

32. Plain, cheese or spicy hamburgers?

Cheese, please.

33. Favorite dog breed?

I've had a beagle, a dachshund, a samoyed, a great dane,
a terrier, various mutts...
And need to say I prefer my current cat LOL!

I would like a german shepherd though. Not just any.
A schutzhund. One for my son. I'll do whatever it takes
for the training... but I want one that develops a bond
with Alex. Dogs seem to have a natural instinct to protect
him anyway. I need him/her trained as a service dog and
in search and rescue. I think one day he/she will be
instrumental in saving his life.

34. How many years at your current job?

9 going on 10 :P.

35. Favorite place you've ever been?

Asleep in bed LOL.

36. How many states have you lived in?

Countries - 2
States - 4 (California, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut)

37. Favorite day of the week?

Friday. The kids generally go off to school so I have the
day "off" then it's not a rush to get dinner/bath/bed done
since I know we can all sleep in for Saturday.

38. Ever driven motorcycle or heavy machinery?

No, but I want to try heavy machinery!

39. Who's your favorite NFL team?

Giants. I don't really watch football but it's funny
watching friends who are during a game and, hell, I
was raised in the shadow of Meadowlands Stadium.

40. Do you have a house phone that is not cordless?

All the phones are cordless.
