I just remembered I used a toothpick. I was out at a con/hotel or something
and there were these little freebie singularly wrapped peppermint
toothpicks. I also remember a camping trip were I had remembered to take a
book and used a maple seed. The seed had twirled down to land beside me so
I thought it was appropriate.
In a number of secondhand books I bought were cards. Ace, queen, etc. That
seemed to be a popular bookmark. That and receipts.
I have tons of bookmarks, more then half given as gifts, like from places
people have visited, but they never seem to be around when one could be
useful.
