I know I read an article some weeks back that detailed how
certain chemicals/toxins do have the ability to change RNA/DNA.
It could very well be something the parent(s) has been exposed to,
then carried over to their offspring.

Very thankful they hung on. Then, what else would good parents
do?
God, I don't want to think about how much we've spent already
or how much more we have to go.
