Thank You for the well wishes I appreciate it.
Aidan and I had just finished having a really lovely dinner to
celebrate our time in Hawaii and Aidan said let's take a little walk to
walk off dinner and it was over to the ceremony site and basically we
were married there after I got over my surprise. We already were
dressed pretty nicely because of the dinner so he had set this up in
advance. He was wearing his black euro styled suit and I was wearing a
emerald sari.
Usually I don't like surprises because I like to make up my mind
beforehand how I feel about most situations/events in life. Aidan knows
this so its why he tries not to surprise me too often but he said since
I had agreed to marry him when he asked me during Christmas he figured
it would be alright to have a ceremony just between us a few months
before we were married in front of our family in France. I suppose he
wanted me to already be used to being married to him when we did it
front of everyone. Pretty smart strategy now that I consider it since I
can be a bit more reserved and quiet around larger groups of people
even if I know you.
Our wedding in France will still only be around maybe 50ish people.
Mostly on Aidan's side but my parents and 2 best male friends will be
there. We won't be having any attendents for either of us. I will just
be walking down the aisle myself because I don't believe in my father
giving me away since I've been on my own a long time now and don't need
all that ceremony stuff. The actual ceremony will be billingual since
Aidan and I both know French (so does my mom since she grew up in the
New Orleans area) but since my father and my 2 friends are English
speakers we figure we'll let them in on what we are saying. Its likely
we'll stay in the Paris area and go over to London perhaps for a few
days. We are getting married in between both of our birthdays since
they are so close together at the end of July/beginning of August.
Our parents both say if we plan it right we can have a child in
July/August and make it a trifecta lol..
