Good that you know what was going on, but it is horrid that it took drs. so long to figure it out.
I hope that it all gets worked out and stabalized soon.

It has been a very revealing week to be sure. After a year of no diagnosis, and another year of partial diagnosis I think I have the answers. I say I think I do because we thought we had it before. A year ago I was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension probably caused by asthma. The family was not satisfied with that or with how little the doctors seemed to be doing for me so my sister in law made arrangements for me to see pulmonologists in Fairfax Hospital in VA where they do research with ph and might be able to give me additional information and direction. Boy, did they! Yes you have very mild ph, maybe asthma, maybe not - I sure don't act asthmatic and when I have bad time breathing, emergency inhalers don't do a thing.. Anyway, "the main problem is congestive heart failure and get to a cardiologist immediately, name one for me now, I'm sending a letter to him." So I name my mother's cardiologist and called for appointment next week. Thank goodness he will take me in. Meanwhile two more pills a day and a great deal of gratitude to my family for pushing me to find out more. It is not the greatest diagnosis but ,hey, it's treatable and they feel with medication I'll be here a long time. I am grateful too, for the support of friends close by and in cyberspace. I still have a lot to learn but I think we are finally (after two years of groping) on the right track. Jane
